Job Title: Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Production Planning (PPC)

Reports To: Manager – Production

Experience: 9–10 Years

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Job Description:

• Prepare and execute weekly and daily production plans based on monthly production plans.

• Plan production considering manpower, machine capacity, material availability, and production priorities.

• Plan and monitor sub-assembly and final assembly schedules to achieve delivery targets.

• Coordinate with Material Resourcing Planners to align production plans with material availability and customer priorities.

• Coordinate with SCM, Procurement, Stores, Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve material shortages and production constraints.

• Monitor production progress, WIP levels, and adherence to production plans.

• Optimize inventory levels while ensuring uninterrupted material availability for production.

• Maintain and update production planning data in SAP.

• Analyze production capacity, manpower availability, and machine loading.

• Prepare and share production, delivery, and planning performance reports.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve planning efficiency, resource utilization, and delivery performance.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Production Planning & Control (PPC).

• Good understanding of BOM structures, routing, and manufacturing processes.

• Experience in planning sub-assembly and final assembly operations.

• Hands-on experience with SAP and MRP.

• Strong knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Knowledge of inventory management, capacity planning, and demand planning.

• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
